This company was incorporated on the 5th of April 2019.
Clients thought they were investing in a company called GWD Forestry thinking it was a sustainable agroforestry project based in Canada and in Brazil.
The idea behind this was that investors would buy plots of land where trees would get planted on their behalf to help contribute against deforestation.
Clients having invested in GWD Forestry do not own any land from GWD, but many of them have been cold-called or have received emails from fraudulent companies offering to buy their plots. The clients sent money to said scammers but didn’t get anything back.
Subsequently, at the moment we act for about 80 people that have collectively invested €8 Million in GWD Forestry and have not received any returns on investment.
